What Can We Give Grants For?
The Cayton Parish Council Small Grants Programme is designed to help local charities, community groups, clubs, educational establishments and other not-for-profit organisations provide activities, services and facilities that benefit residents of Cayton.
We understand that every organisation’s needs are different, so grants may be considered for a wide range of purposes, including:
- Starting new activities or projects that provide a benefit to Cayton residents.
- Helping existing services or activities continue, where funding is needed to maintain valuable community provision.
- Purchasing new equipment, materials or resources that support the delivery of services, activities or community programmes.
- Match funding contributions, where a grant from the Parish Council will help secure funding from another organisation or funding body.
- Additional or unexpected costs arising from an existing project that has already received funding from another source, where those costs are essential to the project’s successful completion.
- One-off events, initiatives or programmes that encourage participation, wellbeing, learning, inclusion or community engagement.
- Improvements to facilities or resources used by local residents, where these support community activities and services.
Applications will be considered where the funding helps organisations deliver outcomes that provide a clear and demonstrable benefit to the residents of Cayton. This may include projects that promote health and wellbeing, education and learning, recreation, sport, culture, environmental improvement, community cohesion, or support for vulnerable members of the community.
The examples above are not exhaustive. If your organisation has a funding need that will help deliver a positive benefit for Cayton residents, we encourage you to submit an application for consideration.
