Defibrillators

Location of defibrillation units in Cayton, North Yorkshire

Cayton Parish Council is responsible for the upkeep and monitoring of two public defibrillators in the village:

  • Village Hall, North Lane – located on the right‑hand side of the building
  • Cayton Playing Fields Association, Station Road – mounted on the side wall

Both units are kept in locked cabinets. In an emergency, call 999. The emergency services will provide the access code and direct you to the nearest available defibrillator.

How access works

All defibrillators are registered on The Circuit, the national defibrillator network used by emergency services. When a unit is accessed, The Circuit notifies the Parish Council so the device can be marked out of action until replacement pads are fitted and the unit is fully operational again.

Other defibrillators in the area

Additional defibrillators are located at:

  • Cayton Primary School
  • Browns Caravans, Cayton Bay
  • Cayton Caravan Site
  • Parkdean Resort, Cayton Bay

Some of these may not be accessible at all times. The 999 operator will advise which unit is available and closest during an emergency.
