Nominations are invited for three categories recognising the people and organisations who strengthen wellbeing, inclusion and community spirit across North Yorkshire:

  • Wellbeing and community connection — honouring groups that support mental and physical health, reduce isolation and build belonging
  • Inclusive communities — celebrating organisations that remove barriers, improve accessibility and create welcoming spaces for all
  • Commitment to the community — recognising individual volunteers who show exceptional dedication

Winners in each category will receive £1,000 for their project or a chosen local charity, with runners‑up awarded £250.

Key Dates

Nominations close 5 July 2026, and finalists will be invited to the awards ceremony at the North Yorkshire Wider Partnership Conference on 16 October 2026 at the Pavilions of Harrogate.

Why It Matters for Cayton

Cayton’s many volunteers—whether supporting local clubs, caring for neighbours, improving green spaces or strengthening community life—are eligible for nomination. The awards offer a chance to shine a spotlight on the people who make Cayton such a connected and caring place.

How to Nominate

Residents can submit nominations through the North Yorkshire Council website. The council encourages early submissions to ensure all outstanding local contributions are recognised.
