Open Space Main Street
This relates to the open grass space on Main Street next to the recyclng bins that is proposed to make into a Community Orchard

Along with a resident who arranged a petition, the Parish Council campaigned to prevent NYC building two bungalows on the only area of Open land on Main Street.
As of November 2024 we are just awaiting the transfer of land via solicitors and contracts after North Yorkshire agreed to sell it to the Parish Council for the nominal fee of £1.00
The intention is to make a Community Orchard with seating and in fact a generous reident has already donated £80 on his 80th birthday to purchas trees for the orchard.
We hope to be able to start this project in the Spring of 2025
