Residents are being encouraged to take part in a public consultation on the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority’s draft Local Transport Plan.

The Local Transport Plan sets out a long-term vision for transport across York and North Yorkshire and will help guide future investment, policies and decision-making on issues such as roads, public transport, walking, cycling and connectivity. The Combined Authority is seeking feedback from residents, businesses, community groups and other stakeholders to ensure the plan reflects local needs and priorities.

This is an opportunity for people in Cayton and the surrounding area to help shape how transport develops in the years ahead. Whether your interest is in road safety, public transport links, active travel routes, accessibility, or reducing congestion, the consultation provides a chance to share your views.

The draft Local Transport Plan, supporting documents and consultation survey can be accessed online at:

Anyone requiring alternative formats of the draft Plan or survey, or who has questions about the consultation, can contact the Combined Authority via transportplanning@yorknorthyorks-ca.gov.uk or by telephone on 01423 569562 (select option 2 for general enquiries).

Residents are encouraged to review the proposals and submit their views before the consultation closes. Your feedback will help inform the future direction of transport across York and North Yorkshire.
