Cayton residents are being advised of upcoming essential highway maintenance that will require temporary road closures and traffic restrictions during the week commencing 8 June 2026.

North Yorkshire Council has confirmed that works will take place at two locations on Mill Lane, Cayton, with closures scheduled for 11–12 June 2026. The wider restriction period runs from 8–12 June 2026 to allow for traffic management setup and contingency.

Affected Locations

• AN 282899 Mill Lane — outside No. 43 to approximately 50m past the bend heading towards Cayton (11–12 June 2026)
• AN 282894 Mill Lane — approximately 15m from the caravan park (11–12 June 2026)

These works form part of routine essential highway maintenance to ensure road safety and surface condition.
