Open Space Main Street
This relates to the open grass space on Main Street next to the recycling bins that is proposed to become a Community Orchard

Along with a resident who arranged a petition, the Parish Council campaigned to prevent NYC building two bungalows on the only area of Open land on Main Street.
On the 16th December 2024 this land was formally transferred to the ownership of Cayton Parish Council – this means that it can now never be built on !
The intention is to make a Community Orchard with seating and in fact a generous reident has already donated £80 on his 80th birthday to purchase trees for the orchard.
We hope to be able to start this project in the Spring of 2025 and have an open meeting on 4th March to give people info about getting involved
